After working throughout High School for his fathers contracting business, Adam developed a passion for transforming visions into reality. This passion drives the company’s mission to create functional, beautiful spaces that reflect the individuality of each client. Adam Clarke
CEO/Owner
Adam began his company in 2006 with longtime friend and skateboard ramp-building partner, Matt Douthwright.
"It's much easier to teach good habits early than to undo years of bad ones". Adam believes in this so much he has formed partnerships with local schools to give cooperative learning opportunities to deserving students. Some of whom have earned full-time spots on his crew.
Ashley Clarke
CFO
Ashley Clarke received her Bachelor’s degree from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. Prior to joining A Clarke Construction she spent 8 years working for window and door manufacturer Pella Windows & Doors. With years in the construction business and from building her own home, Ashley understands the stresses that come with home design and construction projects. She puts clients at ease helping set A Clarke Construction apart from other construction companies.
Matt Douthwright
Project Manager
Matt Douthwright developed a passion for creating something from nothing very early on in life. He was eager to join Adam at the inception of his construction business and has played an integral role every day since. Currently he serves as a Lead Supervisor where he thrives guiding the team through each project. He also finds fulfillment using his skills to renovate his own home.
David Arriaga
Sales/Estimator
David joined A Clarke Construction as Project Estimator in 2021 bringing over 25 years of industry experience. In his last position he worked directly with homeowners to select finishes for a myriad of interior and exterior home upgrades. Aside from his industry experience, David’s perpetually positive attitude make him a pleasure to work with.
Originally from the Bronx, David has been living in Western Massachusetts for the past 40 years. In November 2025, he relocated to the Capital Region of New York but commutes daily for work. On a personal note, his wife Heather, children Emily, Anthony, Ellie, Lylah & Abby, and his grandchildren, are his inspiration, purpose, and drive. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending all of his time with them.
Nick
Lead Carpenter
Nick has been a cornerstone of A Clarke Construction for more than ten years, bringing exceptional carpentry skills and a genuine love for the trades to every project. He’s known for his careful planning, thoughtful problem-solving, and a hands-on leadership style that inspires the crew. Off the clock, Nick pursues one of his greatest passions: dirt bike racing, where he enjoys the adrenaline, focus, and discipline that also fuel his workday.
Patti Barnes
Administrative Coordinator
Patti keeps the A Clarke Construction machine running smoothly with a calm, can-do attitude and a love for detail. As the Administration Coordinator, she coordinates materials, communications and every little operational detail that keeps projects on track. When she’s not on the clock, Patty cherishes time with her family, enjoys crocheting cozy creations, and hits the gym to stay energized for the busy days ahead.
