Quilted Fiberglass Absorbers

Industrial Quilted Fiberglass Absorbers are soft, porous, open celled materials that are used to reduce the reflection of sound waves. As a result, reverberation time and ambient noise levels are reduced thereby improving communication in a variety of applications. They are lightweight and flexible with a Class A flammability rated products can be supplied as wall panels, ceiling baffles, banners or ceiling clouds.

Quilted Fiberglass Absorber Products

QFA-1

QFA-1 consists of a vinyl coated fiberglass cloth on one side of 1" quilted fiberglass wit h non-porous scrim facing on the opposite side. Wall panels are constructed with all edges bound and grommets across the top. Rolls are available 4' wide x 50' long and can be supplied with edges bound or unbound.

  • Class A (or 1) Flammability Rated per ASTM E84
  • NRC rating 0.70

Applications:
Typically used when you are trying to reduce the reflection of sound waves or reverberant noise energy within a piece of equipment, a room, or a building.

Data Sheet

QFA-3

QFA-3 is comprised of a single layer of 1" fiberglass batting quilted with a non-woven porous scrim fabric on both sides. Full locking stitches are available in a diamond or straight stitch pattern. Standard roll size is 4' wide up to 50' long. Also available 54" wide.

  • Class A Flammability Rated per ASTM E-84
  • NRC rating 0.70

Applications:
Typically used as a sound absorption panel or an acoustical liner. Also used as a decoupler when combined with our B-10 Lag Acoustical Pipe & Duct product to enhance its acoustical performance.

Data Sheet

QFA-7

QFA-7 consists of a 2” thick fiberglass quilted with a vinyl coated fiberglass cloth on one side and a non-porous scrim facing on the opposite side. Wall panels are constructed with all edges bound and grommets across the top. Rolls are available 4’ wide x 25’ long and can be supplied with edges bound or unbound.

  • Class A (or 1) Flammability rated per ASTM E84
  • NRC rating 0.85

Applications:
Typically used when you are trying to reduce the reflection of sound waves or reverberant noise energy within a piece of equipment, a room, or a building. Also used to supplement plywood structures on job sites to improve the transmission loss of the wood as well as to reduce reflected noise on the construction side.

Data Sheet

QFA-10

QFA-10 consists of a durable vinyl- coated-fiberglass-cloth facing quilt ed to both sides of a two-inch thick fiberglass batting.  Wall panels and overhead baffles are constructed with all edges bound and grommets across the top.

Also used to supplement plywood structures on job sites to improve the transmission loss of the wood as well as to reduce reflected noise on the worker’s side.

Data Sheet

QFA-14

QFA-14 consists of a vinyl coated fiberglass cloth on one side of 4” quilted fiberglass with non-porous scrim facing on the opposite side. Wall panels are constructed with all edges bound and grommets across the top. Rolls are available 4’ wide x 25’ long and can be supplied with edges bound or unbound.

  • Class A (or 1) per ASTM E84
  • NRC rating 1.05

Applications:
Typically used when you are trying to reduce the reverberant noise energy within a piece of equipment, room, or building. This nominal 4” thick industrial grade quilted fiberglass absorber has an NRC rating of 1.05 offering the maximum performance available from a sound absorber.

Data Sheet

QFA-20

QFA-20 offers maximum sound absorption performance across all octave band frequencies and is especially effective for rumbling low frequency applications. A vinyl-coated-fiberglass cloth facing is quilted on both sides of a 4” thick fiberglass core. Wall panels are constructed with grommets across the top and are available with additional grommets around the perimeter. Rolls are 4’ wide up to 25’ long and the edges can be either bound or unbound.

  • Class 1 or A per ASTM E84
  • NRC rating 1.05

Applications:
Typically used when to reduce the reverberant noise energy in an enclosure, room or building. The 4” thick version is recommended for low frequency applications.
