WoodTrends Standard Wood Ceilings
Sound Seal's Standard Wood Ceiling system consists of
actual wood veneered to chipboard or MDF core. On the edges of the planks
there are grooves running the length and width which the installation clips and and alignment/cover, if needed, are installed.
Our Standard Wood Ceiling planks are finished with 2 coats of a UV cured polyacrylate lacquer.
This system is installed by the attachment of pivot clips onto a typical 15/16" grid. The 9.4" and 11.4" wide planks are available with round or elongated perforations and can achieve NRC values as high as 0.90.
Sound Seal's Woodtrends Standard for Ceilings
is available in two edge details; reveal edge and flush edge.

Reveal Edge
The Reveal Edge detail leaves a 5mm, 10mm or 20mm groove between planks. Decorative spacer strips, veneered or black MDF, or acoustically transparent spacer strips are available to conceal the mechanicals in the plenum or any insulation used for sound absorption from below if
necessary.

Flush Edge
The Flush Edge detail features edges that butt together. A 2mm bevel, showing a v groove, defines the seam between the planks. A concealed strip is used along the panels length to facilitate easy panel alignment.
