Low energy-use lighting
At Sound
Seal, we use energy efficient
fluorescent fixtures in all main work
areas throughout the building. These
fluorescent fixtures are more energy
efficient and provide a more even
distribution of light.
Individual task lighting is used at each work -
station for flexibility and individual
control of lighting needs. We have
installed energy efficient light bulbs
which have a longer life span than most
light bulbs and reduce our energy
footprint.
We also
have installed timers or motion sensors
that automatically shut off lights when
they're not needed. Finally, large
windows provide daylight, so that fewer
lights have to be used.

Design (LEED) initiatives.

Recycling and Work Environment
Our
work environment is full of things that
encourage our employees to be more
environmentally – friendly. At Sound
Seal, we have recycling containers in
every office and throughout the
building. We recycle anything we can.
These items include paper, cardboard,
newspaper, plastic, aluminum and used
ink cartridges.

Sustainable Vendors
Whether
it's a carpet-cleaning service, or a
caterer, we strive to use sustainable
vendors whenever possible. Our main
printer is FSC Certified.
Sound Seal uses digital printing, which
is chemical free, whenever possible as
opposed to traditional Petroleum-based
ink.
